Rolls-Royce 1975 Silver Shadow

The Shadow features a full-width, slab-sided body design, its class distinguished as a full-size luxury car. This 6.75 litre, V8, is only 40,000 miles in from new, having been chauffer-driven most its life.

In 1975, a wealthy family in the Bishop’s Avenue, Hampstead London, ordered this car from Jack Barclay, to be chauffer-driven for the next 30 years. It was then transferred to a family member for approximately 8 years, after which spending 10 years in dry storage.

In 2023, the car was recommissioned, and we purchased the car at auction with just 38,000 miles on the clock. We commissioned further work on the braking and suspension, and she now runs like new! 50 years and going strong.

The Silver Cloud III is its predecessor, and the Silver Spirit is its successor, however James May reported (2014) the Silver Shadow as the largest production volume of any Rolls-Royce model.
