BMW K1 Motorcycle from 1989
The iconic BMW K1 was designed to compete in the TT races. It had some minor success but is best seen as a tourer. It was the first BMW not to have panniers or top box ability. Its 1000cc was limited to 100bhp to meet the optional standard at the time, but has since been upgraded to 116bhp with a Brodie Britton chip set.
When Chris Haddon was commissioned to produce his new book "My Cool Motorcycle", he chose to include this K1 and contacted me through the club; we were photographed and published back in 2014.
A true icon of design from the 80's and still turning heads today.
